Please note that generally,

 

  1. For Riegl scanners, higher pulse repetition rates will yield less returns per pulse
  2. For Velodyne scanners, higher rotational speeds results in decreased angular resolution
  3. ibeo lux 4 scanners have 2 laser diodes, but 4 receptors. Using the wide vertical beam divergence, ranges on 4 layers are sampled.
  4. operating temperature does not specify allowable environmental temperature, but allowable operating temperature
  5. the recommended scanning height strongly depends on your application, these figures are estimates
  6. although some devices are "waterproof" (IP67), scanning in rain or snow is not recommended and will degrade the resulting data
  7. All scanners come attached to mounting hardware/brackets, so the resulting size will differ from these figures
